Acorn Processing- for children or adults, Miss Julieann will come in and teach the group how to safely forage for edible acorns, and the steps to process them for consumption. Recommended for ages 5+, takes about 2 hours, but can be adapted to meet different time requirements.
Foraging Walks- for children or adults, Miss Julieann will take you for a walk in the woods at your location or at a location she chooses (if you do not have access to the forest at your school or library), to teach about the different seasonal wild plants and their uses.
Hike and Sing- for ages 2-8, have a local homeschool group? Meet up with Miss Julieann for a "Hike and Sing" at a local trail system. We will go for a short walk through the woods and talk about the different plants we see, while singing some silly Miss Julieann songs along the way. It's great for encouraging those little explorers!
Virtual Foraging Class- Can be a class for children or for adults. Want to review the basics for foraging safety and learn about edible plants in New England? Miss Julieann can do a virtual presentation about the seasonal wild edible plants and how to safely harvest and consume them.
