In 2019, Miss Julieann had a neurological infection, resulting in a traumatic brain injury and vision disorder. While spending hundreds of hours recovering in bed, Miss Julieann made art to help her cope with the changes. She has a particular interest in illustrating underrepresented populations. She hopes to use her picture books and music to advocate for children with disabilities and educate families about resiliency and coping skills.
