In 2019, Miss Julieann had a neurological infection, resulting in a traumatic brain injury and vision disorder. While spending hundreds of hours recovering in bed, Miss Julieann made art to help her cope with the changes. Here is some of her art, and sample pages for some of the picture books she hopes to publish one day. She has a particular interest in illustrating underrepresented populations. She hopes to use her picture books and music to advocate for children with disabilities and educate families about resiliency and coping skills.
